At the most fundamental levels, stress is typically a misalignment between a person’s true rationally-conceived core values vs. their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.
Our responses, choices, and reactions will reveal the state of our subconscious mind and our desires that are based on emotions, experience, and non-integrated traumas. These may lead us to self-sabotage and destructive behaviors, and certainly immediate gratification.
But these responses may not always align with our true core values.
